My story

I’m a writer, copy editor, journalist, occasional runner, sailor, swimmer, mother of three increasingly feisty girls, lover of cheese and wine, Italophile...

There are so many things I could tell you about myself. But all you need to know is that I love working with words. I’ve done so for over two decades, first as a print journalist and then as a writer and storyteller for brands.

I love finding out what drives you, what’s different about your business and how to communicate that to the people that matter. I use evocative storytelling techniques and an editorial approach to help you find your voice.

Do you like the idea of working with a creative wordsmith? Someone who will ask difficult questions, work to tight deadlines, understand your audience and get the job done on time? Then I think we’ll get along.

As a print journalist, I’ve contributed to business magazines and national newspapers, including the Daily Mail (where I was retail correspondent), Drapers, Retail Week, Sunday Express, Independent on Sunday, Goodwood Magazine and Lonely Planet.

Why hire a journalist? Because well-written copy can transform a company’s communications.

I think that’s enough about me. Let’s talk about how I can help you tell your story.

Out of the Clouds podcast

Listen to me chatting to the wonderful Anne Muhlethaler about not fitting in, the craft of writing and adopting an audience-first mindset. I share stories about my childhood spent between Brazil, Italy and England, my beginnings as a journalist in London covering the retail sector, and my adventures sailing around the world for a year with my husband and two young daughters.
