A business journalist for almost two decades, including national press, I combine freelance writing with content strategy for a number of brands in London and the South East.
I write mainly about retail and the business of fashion, but I enjoy covering a wide range of subjects. I’ve even written about the logistics of returns and found it interesting.
Since going freelance in 2008, I have contributed to the Daily Mail, Drapers, Retail Week, the Sunday Express, the Independent on Sunday, the Goodwood Magazine and Lonely Planet.
I have also ghost-written articles and blogs for corporate clients, written a travel blog whilst on a year-long sailing trip with my family and advised on PR strategy at Goodwood, the sporting estate in West Sussex.
Being part of a fast-paced daily news team taught me to write clean copy to tight deadlines. I have an address book packed with industry contacts and am used to writing to a brief. Journalism has also taught me to dig deeper, to find the gem of a story amid the corporate waffle. I can help companies unearth those stories and use them to engage with their audiences.
Born in Portsmouth, bred in Sao Paulo, Rome and Lake Garda, I now live on the Hampshire/ Sussex border with my husband and three daughters: we spend a lot of time messing about in boats and hiking up the beautiful South Downs.
